The
rules of ABN are based on the rule changes made by the Atlanta
Interactive Theatre to the Mind's Eye Theatre Rules produced by the
White Wolf Game Studio. Our rules
have had many, many authors and contributors. All parties retain what ever
appropriate legal right. Use of any of White Wolf Game Systems copyrights
is not a challenge to those copyrights. These rules may not be used without
permission of AIT or ABN. As always, please remember that this is just a
game and simply fiction.
Abn House Rules:
- You must be at least 18 years old to play.
- Game rules can be viewed at the narrator desk, or
by asking any of our narrators or storytellers for help.
- Do not touch other players.
- Do not run in the game area.
- Do not be where you should not. (off limits areas
are OFF LIMITS.)
- Do not bring sharp pointies or other scary props,
like toy (or real!) guns. We issue item cards for special items your
character carries.
- Do not take real-life items from other players.
(Get item cards for their prop, and make them stick it in their car
if they lost it in game)
- Do not ever come to the game on drugs or otherwise
intoxicated. You will be asked to leave.
- If you wish to discuss the rules, visit the rules
mailing list page here.
Abn Influence Rules:
The complete rules for Influences in ABN are located at the
ABN Influence Rules Page.
Super simplified Game Basics: For those who have not
roleplayed.
You (the player) pretend to be a creature. You are given (normally
you write it out yourself) a character sheet with all sorts of statistics
about how strong and what powers your character (the creature) possesses.
You use the sheet as a guideline for playing the role of this beast (hence
role-playing). You interact with others of your kind, and some who are
not. Most of the gameplay is simple verbal interaction with some moving
about for realism. Sometimes, the conversation leads us to the heat of
battle. To do so, you test your might (be it brains, brawn, or glamour)
against his in combat.
ABN's combat system is "battled out" with the age-old game "rock-paper-scissors."
The rules indicate what the "RPS" game's outcome stands for. Someone wins,
someone loses that challenge. This is much like "rolling dice" for an outcome,
but dice in a live-action environment is cumbersome.
Still confused? Come to a game, we'll gladly show you the ropes. If
